Which Hermes scarf is Cameron Diaz wearing in “My Best Friend’s Wedding”?
This one is a classic

I know this might come as a shock, but I’ve never seen “My Best Friend’s Wedding” and when I sat down to watch it, I couldn’t believe the cameo this Hermes scarf received. I expected it to be featured for a minute or two, but it’s in so many scenes, which gave me even more opportunity to point out some beautiful features of this scarf that we can see in the movie.

In the movie, we follow Julianne Potter (Julia Roberts) and Michael O'Neal (Dermot Mulroney), lifelong friends, who made a pact: if they reached 28 and were still single, they'd marry each other. But with Julianne's 28th birthday just around the corner, Michael drops a bombshell—he's marrying Kimberly (Cameron Diaz), a stunning 20-year-old. In a whirlwind of emotions, Julianne realizes her true feelings for him and tries to figure out how to halt the impending wedding. However, complications arise when she's tasked with being the maid of honor, adding layers of complexity to her plan.

So which Hermes scarf is Cameron Diaz wearing in “My Best Friend’s Wedding”?

The Hermes Scarf is: Hermes “Chevaux de Trait”

Overview of Hermes “Chevaux de Trait” & Laurence Bourthoumieux

Hermes “Chevaux de Trait” was first issued by Hermes in 1993. Each Hermes scarf is designed by an artist, who is commissioned by Hermes to design a scarf. This one seen on Cameron Diaz’s character, Kimberly, is by Laurence Bourthoumieux. She has designed about 26 Hermes scarves in hundreds of color variations.

She actually uses three different signatures used on her Hermes scarves (that I’ve found).

1987-1989
Signed as “L.T.”
"Tropiques”, “Brazil” and “Giverny”

1992-1994
Signed as “L. Thioune”
”Vive le Vent”, “Chevaux de Trait”, “Parures des Sables”

1997-Current
Signed as “Toutsy”
Begins with "Au Son Du Tam-Tam” through current scarves
