Which Hermès Scarf Was Jackie Kennedy's Favorite For Over 23 Years
Which Hermès scarf was one of Jackie Kennedy’s favorites for over 23 years? When I planned to make this video I was just going to reference the one photo I found from 1970, however once I started digging I realized there were way more than one photo and in fact she wore it on multiple occasions! And of course I still couldn’t leave it there, I had to know the dates, times and find all the receipts; including what she was doing at said location in her Hermès scarf😂.
So first we see Jackie Kennedy at Cinema Rendezvous Theater on W.57th after seeing “I Am Curious (Yellow)” in 1969. Then approximately one year later, on November 30, 1970 we see her in the same scarf leaving Bonwit Teller after a big day of shopping. The next time we see the scarf is in 1973 when she is leaving the NY staple Serendipity III. And finally in 1992 when she’s leaving the voting booth at the Robert F. Kennedy School on 110 East 88th St. after she said she voted for Bill Clinton for President.
So which scarf is it? She is wearing Hermès “Astrologie” by Françoise Façonnet, first released in 1963. This scarf was also just released for Spring/Summer 2023 in the classic blue colorway. However, I did colorize these images, as seen in the cover photo and it appears she is wearing the exact colorway I have on and will be in the next Hermès scarf restock on January 8th at 7:00pm EST!
