How to bid at Auction

Everything you need to know

a step-by-step guide

Before We Begin:

1. Popcorn-Style Auctions – When a bid is placed in the final minute, the timer adds one extra minute. This keeps the auction fair and gives others a chance to respond and prevents last-second sniping.

2. Bids Must Be Purchased Buying bids helps prevent fraud and ensures that all participants are genuinely invested.

3. Technical Issues – If you experience trouble purchasing bids, try logging out and logging back in. This usually resolves the issue quickly.

#1: Purchase Bids

Tap “Purchase Bid” to buy your bid. This small purchase helps protect against fraud, ensuring that all participants are genuinely invested in the auction.

#2: Choose Bid Amount

Important – Any unused bids will roll over to future auctions.

1 Bid – Ideal for using the Automatic Bid feature (also known as a Maximum Bid). Tap the yellow “Automatic Bid” button, and the system will bid on your behalf up to your max, even with just one bid.

5 Bids – A good choice if you plan to place manual bids and stay active throughout the auction.

10 Bids – The best option for maximum flexibility and bidding power.

#3: Enter Bid Amount

Penny Remaining – This shows how many bids you have left. Since I purchased 5 for this demo, you’ll see 5 remaining.

Enter Bid Amount – This is the price your bid will immediately jump to. It’s a manual bid, not part of the automatic bidding feature.

#4: Bid Confirmation

Green Bar – You will see this green bar when you are the highest bidder.

Email – You will receive an email to confirm that you are the highest bidder.

#5: Automatic Bidding

Automatic Bid – The yellow button activates automatic bidding. When used, the system will bid on your behalf up to your maximum amount. Bids usually increase in $100 increments.

#6: Outbid

Red Bar – You will see this red bar if you've been outbid.

Email – You will receive an email if you've been outbid.

#7: You've Won

You’ll receive two emails after the auction ends:

Email 1 – Is a notification that you’ve won.

Email 2 – Includes your payment link.

Please note – Winning the auction doesn’t finalize the purchase. Your item is only confirmed once payment is completed through the link.
