Condition: In overall very good condition. Some discoloration at peaks of pleats, but cannot be seen unless pulled apart. Care tag is detached on one side. Box is missing ribbon and has discoloration from age at interior.

Why I Love This Pattern: “Chapeau!” feels like it could have been released in tandem with Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette. But in fact, this pattern was designed by Annie Faivre in 1990. My favorite parts are the mushrooms in the feathers at the top right, the huge bows in on the footmen’s hats at the bottom, the fruit in the women’s hair on the bottom right and so much more. Additionally, a signature of Faivre is to include a hidden monkey in all her designs, for her nickname as a child, “Little Monkey”. I’ve found the hidden monkey on the woman’s bag at the bottom left. And did I mention, this one is pleated too!
