Why I Love This Pattern: This design brings together two Hermès scarves: Cannes et pommeaux by Françoise de la Perrière and Les Cannes by Virginie Jamin. Walking canes have always been more than something practical, they showcase craftsmanship, imagination, and beautiful materials. Many Hermès scarves are inspired by the Émile Hermès collection, which is has so many incredible pieces. Émile’s passion started young, when at twelve he bought his first cane and discovered it secretly held a silk umbrella. Cannes et Cannes is a nod to that first moment of inspiration that grew into a lifelong collection.
Size Guide
- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
- Shawls & Other Sizes: there are a few styles that Hermès does not make every season which are just as lovely and fit into this category.
