From The Hermès Fall-Winter 2016/17 Seasonal Scarf Booklet: The Conservatoire des créations Hermès, a private museum housing Hermes creations since its very beginnings, is a treasure-trove of inspiration for its designers. From this collection Virginie Jamin chose a vast array of belt buckles. Some date from the 1920s, others are more recent, but each of them, from the most restrained to the most elaborate, is remarkable for its bold geometry. Composing a square within the scarf, a circuit emerges, marked out by lines, forms and colours. Despite the strictly marshalled rows, the eye is led into a tempting maze full of surprises.

Size Guide
- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
- Shawls & Other Sizes: there are a few styles that Hermès does not make every season which are just as lovely and fit into this category.
