From The Hermès Fall-Winter 2024 Collection Website Description: Who goes there? Is that a rider hiding under the circles and squares? Since this design by Gianpaolo Pagni is a nod to Italo Calvino's novel The Nonexistent Knight, it's far from certain. The illustrator found inspiration in a series of equestrian lithographs conserved in the Emile Hermès collection. Choosing to retain only the mount from this engraving design, he used stamped forms in geometric shapes to represent riders' silhouettes in a cubist style.
Size Guide
- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
