Why I Love This Pattern: There is really no mistaking an Elias Kafouros scarf. His designs are whimsical, meaningful and the most detailed, which I absolutely love. This scarf was designed to commemorate the two-hundredth anniversary of Greek independence. The letters across the scarf spell "Freedom" in Greek and the landscapes represent the country's three regions: Continental Greece, the Peloponnese, and the islands of the Aegean Sea. And of course we even have a lake at the center taking form of an evil eye for protection.
