From The Hermès Fall-Winter 1996/97 Seasonal Scarf Booklet: Here at the Andalusian school, the "Haute Ecole" of equestrian schools if ever there was one, is taught the art, which so influenced kings and philosophers. Its discipline flourishes throughout the great riding hall and the stables decorated with their Moorish ceramics. Amidst the smell of the leather and the murmur of the fountains, the Andalusian rider invites us to watch his horse dance. The courbette, levade, passage, Spanish step, capriole... and lastly the salute: with hats swept low we return it to you, Don Alvaro!

Size Guide
- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
- Shawls & Other Sizes: there are a few styles that Hermès does not make every season which are just as lovely and fit into this category.
