From The Hermès Fall-Winter 2010/11 Seasonal Scarf Booklet: They snort, charge, rear, bolt... Multicolored stains: a camouflage fabric made up of spirited horses. Then the eye distinguishes the encircled H, the carriage and the groom who faces it... When mile Hermes decided to personalise the books of his library, he paid the greatest attention when choosing his "ex-libris". Surely this label, carefully placed on every work, must express the taste of the owner? Inspired by a drawing by Alfred de Dreux hanging in his office, this motif in time became the emblem of the firm: the "duc", an elegant carriage for the town; the groom waiting in livery; and the horse, stationary, dreaming of mad careerings.

Size Guide
- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
- Shawls & Other Sizes: there are a few styles that Hermès does not make every season which are just as lovely and fit into this category.
