A colorful turkey - the emblem of this southern US state - presides majestically over the whirl of mustangs, pumas, coyotes, birds, cacti, flowers, and garlands of vines that surround its finely speckled feathers. This forever scarf celebrates every aspect of Texas' fauna and flora.

From The Hermès Spring-Summer 1987 Seasonal Booklet: This scarf was designed to commemorate the 150 the anniversary of the independence of Texas. In the traditional circlet are cactus, fruit and flowers, the symbolic turkey stands against a background of a rocky range. Emerging at the four cardinal points, and interlinked by a wild-flower garland, stand a puma, a long-horn steer, a coyote and a mustang. animals indelibly allied to the history of this area.
