From The Hermès Fall-Winter 1992/93 Seasonal Scarf Booklet: His Majesty's hussars, horse guards, the Empress's cuirassiers, the Don's cossacks, sharp-shooters, lancers, all jubilantly parading in Moscow in honor of the coronation of Alexander III in the Cathedral of the Assumption on May 27, 1883. Cannons fring and bells pealing, hymns and fanfares. Above this assembly of all parts of Russia clatter the colors of the imperial army, now become the flag of the just-born Community of Independent States.

- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
