From The Hermès Fall-Winter 2017/18 Seasonal Scarf Booklet: In Portugal, just twenty kilometres from Lisbon, lies the town of Sintra, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage *cultural landscape*. Not far from the historic town centre. the palace of Monserrate makes its contribution to this remarkable site: the beauty of a stately home combining Gothic. Indian and Moorish inspirations, which nestles in luxuriant parkland. This fantasy in stone and trees was acquired by a rich English textile magnate in the second half of the I9th century. Species brought here from the four corners of the world thrive in the gentle climate. Organized by origin, they create a haven of tranquillity whose lush romanticism is evoked in this scarf design by Annie Faivre.

- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
