Why I Love This Pattern: This scarf design is a variation of an original work by a Cameroonian artist (I cannot find the artist’s name) that was originally created for the cover of Monde d’Hermes in 1997 for the Year of Africa theme. The glass beads represented in this design are so beautiful and often used in African folk art, on clothing and jewelry. Plus, I love how the red, white, and blue also give a nod to Hermes’ French roots.
Why I Love This Size
The size 45cm is so underrated. It’s small, but mighty. It gives more of a casual bandana look when styled with the triangle in the front. Or when styled in a bias fold, more of an understated French look.
