Why I Love This Pattern: As the Twilly celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2023, Hermès pays tribute to this iconic accessory with a special edition featuring Pierre Marie's design, La Patisserie Francaise. There's an adorable charm that adorns the end of the Twilly too! Pierre Marie's idea for this scarf came by diving into a French cookery book published in 1873. "Le Livre de patisserie" was the fourth book by Jules Gouffe, the son of a Parisian pastry chef, who was famous for his pieces montees, whose shop was located on the rue du Faubourg Saint-Honore, a few short steps from Hermès. Soon his talent had earned him the title of "the apostle of decorative cuisine". The beauty of his creations is a real incentive to a gourmet dream. Pierre Marie could not resist. Jars of almond paste, pistachio croquembouches, decorative cake stands, colored sugars, nougatine, dessert creams and choux buns form an extravagant decor that pays tribute to the illustrator's boundless imagination.
