From The Hermès Fall-Winter 2022/23 Seasonal Scarf Booklet: Imagine the cacophony that must have reigned on Noah's Ark, between the roars of the tiger, the zebra braying, the penguin honking, the giraffe grunting, and all the rest. In Katie Scott's version the animals are less agitated and a little more con-ceited. Give them some light and they flaunt their looks like Chinese lanterns, some round, some oval, others cylindrical or diamond-shaped….. the shape doesn't matter, as long as it's flat! Their profusion of multicoloured geometrical shapes creates a dazzling spectacle.
Size Guide
- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
- Shawls & Other Sizes: there are a few styles that Hermès does not make every season which are just as lovely and fit into this category.
