From The Hermès Fall-Winter 2022/23 Seasonal Scarf Booklet: Once there was a cat who, looking for a cosy place to sleep, had folded himself into his mistress's scarf box. One fine day he awoke to find that he had become quite flat and square. Never one to complain, he made the best of a bad iob and seized the chance to show off to his friend the flying squirrel, whose ability to stretch out his little paws and glide through the air had always been the envy of the cat. Suffice it to say that it stopped the squirrel in his tracks. Now there's a fable that La Fontaine never imagined, and that Florence Malik has invented!
Size Guide
- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
- Shawls & Other Sizes: there are a few styles that Hermès does not make every season which are just as lovely and fit into this category.
