From The Hermès Fall-Winter 1992/93 Seasonal Scarf Booklet: Let us remember Nicolas Baudin, commander of two corvettes, «Le Geographe» and «Le Naturaliste», who was sent by First Consul Bonaparte to investigate Captain Cook's discovery, Australia. In the four corners of the scarf appear Charles Alexandre Lesueur, the expedition's painter; Matthew Flinders, the English captain of «The Investigator», who met up with the French group; François Peron, zoologist; and Nicolas Baudin himself, who died in 1803 on the return journey.

- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
