From The Hermès Fall-Winter 2022/23 Seasonal Scarf Booklet: A lion with a sunburst mane as golden as a wheatsheaf, an eagle camouflaged behind autumn leaves, a wolf shivering under an icy crown, and a horse bedecked in spring flowers like a painting by Arcimboldo... In a hymn to the riches of nature, Pierre Marie reinvents the representation of the cycle of the seasons, each one personified by a fantastical animal executing a little dance. Their costumes are inspired by those designed by Henri de Gissey for the ballet Les Fêtes de Bacchus in the 17th century, and by Leon Bakst for the Ballets Russes in the early 1920s. The baroque extravagance of this scarf pays tribute to the depth of time.
Size Guide
- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
- Shawls & Other Sizes: there are a few styles that Hermès does not make every season which are just as lovely and fit into this category.
