Why I Love This Pattern: This motif was originally released in 1998 and explores the ways we understand trees, both as part of the natural world and as powerful symbols across cultures. The composition is split into two triangles divided by a narrow stream. One side features a living forest, filled with recognizable species like apple, pear, oak, alder, linden, sycamore, bamboo, and the traveler’s tree, their branches intertwining in vibrant color. The other side shifts into myth and meaning, with trees like the sacred Donar’s oak, tied to Germanic legend and Thor, the cypress, often linked to the underworld in ancient mythology; and the Bodhi tree, where Buddha reached enlightenment. Reissued now in the coloriage style, this version of Les Légendes de l’Arbre uses bold lines and washes of color to bring Faivre’s thoughtful structure and storytelling into focus all over again.

- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
