Why I Love This Pattern: When Émile Hermès was just twelve years old, he purchased a walking cane with a removable knob that concealed a parasol (fabulous, right!?) an early sign of his eye for perfect elegance and design. Over time, his collection of canes grew to include a fantastic mix including an ivory pommel, a top-hatted gentleman’s head in painted porcelain, a ram with swirling quartz horns, and a duck carved from horn. Horses’ heads, horseshoes, a small jockey figure, and another man holding his horse by the halter round out this assortment.

The 90cm silk scarf is the classic size. It’s technically the most versatile in terms of tying many different knots, styling it as a top, a bag, a headscarf and the list goes on.
