From The Hermès Fall-Winter 1996/97 Seasonal Scarf Booklet: The intruder - the aggressor, in-deed - is here a falcon attacking a small bird. In an unexpected riposte all the victim's companions charge "en masse" towards the brute to rob him of his prey. This scarf embellishes the story to please the eye, uniting robins, stonechats, marsh warblers and others of the sparrow family, whose songs certainly echo in concert throughout our regions, though in reality these cousins are less inclined to help each other.
