From The Hermès Spring-Summer 1995 Seasonal Scarf Booklet: Kagami Tenjo is the "mirrored ceiling" of Shin-Yo-Sha temple painted by Kano Ryotaku (in the Irimova-Zukuri style); but it also denotes that unique moment of awakening of consciousness in eastern meditation, in the form of feasting maidens, whose laughter turns to song, whose frolics become a dance, and whose music gives wing to the mundane soul of common mortals, bowed down under the weight of material concerns.

- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
