From The Hermès Spring-Summer 2017 Seasonal Scarf Booklet: An architect by training, illustrator Nigel Peake dreams of cities. The metropolis he has conjured up in this scarf soars skywards, embodying a joyous and dynamic modernity. The façades are windows, reflecting every possible colour. Inspired by the light breeze of a summer day that makes everything move imperceptibly, the artist invites us into a stroll through avenues, boulevards and parks, adding a stippling effect to mimic the rhythmic rustling of trees. This geometrical and poetic composition, free yet ordered, leads us into a world that is both real and strange.

Size Guide
- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
- Shawls & Other Sizes: there are a few styles that Hermès does not make every season which are just as lovely and fit into this category.
