Why I Love This Pattern: In 1985/1986, France celebrated the Year of India, and Hermès joined the tribute with the release of four India-inspired scarves: India, Fantaisies Indiennes, Chasse en Inde, and Srinagar by Catherine Baschet. Named after the city known for its intricate geometric and floral patterns, Srinagar stands out as the only one issued exclusively as a shawl. It came in just two versions: a light pastel silk for spring and summer, and a cashmere 140 for fall and winter.
