Why I Love This Pattern: King Tut was reissued by Hermès in 1994 for the theme of the year, which was the sun. In the center we can see the iconic gold funerary mask, which is now believed to have been made not for Tutankhamun, but for his stepmother, Queen Nefertiti, the chief consort of King Akhenaten. A pair of gold cloisonné earrings, also featured, are thought to have been worn by King Tut during his lifetime. There are so many notable details in this one.
Size Guide
- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
- Shawls & Other Sizes: there are a few styles that Hermès does not make every season which are just as lovely and fit into this category.
