Why I Love This Pattern: The motif tells the Japanese folktale of Urashima Tarō, a fisherman who rescues a turtle and is rewarded with a journey to the Dragon Palace beneath the sea. He meets a beautiful princess, but when he returns home he realizes centuries have passed. The story ends with a mysterious box, a puff of smoke, and time catching up all at once. There’s something especially fitting about this legend on mousseline. The delicate silk feels like it’s part of that underwater dream world.
Size Guide
- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
