Why I Love This Pattern: Nearly every American town has a monument or street honoring George Washington, who chose the site for the nation's capital on the Potomac River. In 1789, after his inauguration as the first U.S. president, he traveled there from New York’s Federal Hall, and was greeted by an excited crowd. In 1792 a watercolor depicting Washington’s London-made carriage by J. Robert Hart inspired this scarf showing the grandeur of that historic moment.

- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
