From The Hermès Spring-Summer 2012 Seasonal Scarf Booklet: A scarf comprised of a horse comprised of scarves comprised of horses: what a curious labyrinth. And a curious horse, thus stabled in this armour. One can see in it inspiration drawn from Medieval illuminations, where the multitude of embellishments dazzles the eye. Or, perhaps from Japanese engravings in which horses are weighed down by brocade. But here, rather than brocade, silk adorns, radiant and fresh! Dressed in scarves, the battle steed parades and leads us through our imagination into the history of the house, in these equestrian decorations that punctuate its history: Carrousel, Saumur, Les Courses and La Ronde des Jockeys.

- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
