From The Hermès Spring-Summer 2019 Seasonal Scarf Booklet: In this phantasmagorical city, zebras, dinosaurs, monkeys and toucans joyfully run riot. Each detail tells a story. A dragon lays siege to the Warsaw Palace of Culture and Science, a leopard sets its sights on the Kremlin in Moscow, a panda and a crocodile pass the time of day at the foot of Moscow's St. Basil's Cathedral. And, to get the very best view of this delightful spectacle, other protagonists gather at the windows of the Hermes building on Faubourg Saint -Honoré in Paris. An exuberant composition by Jan Bajtlik, a graduate of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, Animapolis is the artist's first silk scarf for Hermès.
Size Guide
- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
- Shawls & Other Sizes: there are a few styles that Hermès does not make every season which are just as lovely and fit into this category.
