From The Hemès Fall-Winter 2019/20 Seasonal Scarf Booklet: Here. the modest bolduc, a linen or cotton ribbon used for gift wrapping, aspires to greatness. A Hermes signature since it was adopted by the house in 1949, the simple and elegant bolduc with its dotted border evoking the famous saddle stitch becomes, in the hands of Caty Latham, an intricate weave, a picture in a perfect square. The long, fine strips crisscross and interlace to conceal and reveal the carriage and groom playing hide-and-seek in this multitude of tiny squares. The surface appears to vibrate, catching the eye like a mosaic.

Size Guide
- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
- Shawls & Other Sizes: there are a few styles that Hermès does not make every season which are just as lovely and fit into this category.
