From The Hermès Spring-Summer 2023 Collection Website Description: Brides de gala is one of the most emblematic Hermès designs. In 1957, Robert Dumas was working with designer Hugo Grygkar. He placed two sumptuous bridles side by side on the ground and was immediately struck by the perfect composition they formed, and the scarf design was born. This was followed by the precise and subtle work of a talented hand, just as the house likes them. In this reinterpretation, one of the two bridles is redrawn to give the impression of the glued and stitched technique used by the house's leatherworking artisans.
