Why I Love This Pattern: As someone who is passionate about the arts and scarves, this is the perfect example of the two coming together. I absolutely love this scarf because it’s inspired by the stunning cloisonné enamel designs of China’s Ming and Qing dynasties, with many of these pieces preserved in the Musée des Arts Decoratifs archives inspiring the design. The intricate technique of cloisonne, which uses tiny metal strips to create raised motifs filled with vibrant enamel, gives this scarf such depth and texture. Plus the use of metallic silver ink makes it that much more realistic. The combination of floral and geometric patterns, along with the galloping horse, one of the most symbolic animals in Chinese culture, makes this scarf not only gorgeous, but rich in history and meaning.
