Why I Love This Pattern: This is a play on the classic Eperon d'Or motif which shows an intricate composition of leather and metal elements with loops, spurs, stirrups, reins, and whips that are woven into a labyrinth that leads to a central rosette. This design draws from the harnesses of the Cadre Noir de Saumur, the renowned 19th-century French riding school. Since 1974, their elegant curves and structured lines have been part of the Hermès legacy. This version is beautiful with it's bold brushstrokes and fringed edge.
Size Guide
- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
