Why I Love This Pattern: As a long time Meryl Streep and Nancy Meyers fan, seeing the “Ex-Libris” pattern in “It’s Complicated” gives the best seal of approval. But what is an ex-libris? It’s a bookplate which is a label that personalizes the owner’s books in their library. “Ex-Libris” is Latin and translates to 'from the library of”. In 1923, Emile‑Maurice Hermes, the grandson of the founder of the house, chose this Ex-Libris as his own and it became a symbol of Hermes. Love some history and heritage, especially in love this metallic variation.
Why I Love This Size
The 70cm format is actually my favorite out of all the sizes. I find it small enough where I’m not overwhelmed by fabric, but big enough when I can still do a few fancier knots. The 70cm also uses a lighter weight silk than any of the other sizes, which gives it a casual effortless look. I always recommend this size for petites as well, it’s almost a petite version of a 90cm. But even if you’re taller it works perfectly too.
