From The Hermes Fall-Winter 2020/21 Collection Website Description: Pierre Marie's idea for this scarf came from the pages of a French cookbook published in 1873. Le Livre de pâtisserie was the fourth book by Jules Gouffé, the son of a Parisian pastry chef renowned for his pièces montées, whose shop was located on the rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, a stone's throw from Hermès. Soon his talent had earned him the title of "the apostle of decorative cuisine". For Pierre Marie, these beautiful delicacies, amassed in a kind of culinary daydream, were irresistible. Towers of almond paste, pistachio croquembouches, decorative cake stands, colored sugars, nougatine, dessert creams and choux buns form an extravagant decor that pays tribute to the illustrator's boundless imagination.

- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
- Shawls & Other Sizes: there are a few styles that Hermès does not make every season which are just as lovely and fit into this category.
