From The Hermès Spring-Summer 2025 Collection Website Description: Evoking moments spent in the sun, the tie and dye technique gives a new light to Caty Latham's Ferronnerie design. Ornaments of wrought ironwork, acanthus, fleur-de-lys and animals dance on a wash silk that gives this scarf a vintage touch. In France, between the 17th and 18th centuries, wrought-iron craftsmanship thrived, embracing all forms of decorative fantasy. Palms, fleurs-de-lis and animals now bring gates, doors and fountains to life, inspired by the lion's head door-knocker from the Emile Hermès collection, which Caty Latham has placed at the center of her composition. And when a silk ribbon is entwined around the finely printed metalwork, the metal seems to gracefully dance. Reinterpreted with a tie-dye effect, the design, which was first released in 1970, is now more contemporary than ever.
