From The Hermès Fall-Winter 2015/16 Seasonal Scarf Booklet: Evoking the Garden of Eden, this opulent composition by Annie Faivre takes inspiration from plant tapestries called verdures that were fashionable at the close of the Middle Ages in Europe. Legendary gardens bloom within it, issuing an invitation to linger. The hanging gardens of Babylon, one of the seven wonders of the world, overlook a labyrinth of trimmed topiary. The Alhambra gardens of Granada, exquisite examples of Islamic art, intersect with the gardens of the Heian Shrine in Kyoto, the Mughal garden of the Taj Mahal and that of the artist and plant collector Majorelle, in Marrakech.

Size Guide
- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
- Shawls & Other Sizes: there are a few styles that Hermès does not make every season which are just as lovely and fit into this category.
