From The Hermès Spring-Summer 2010 Seasonal Scarf Booklet: Corals build veritable batlements below the waves, which attract and shelter thousands of species of plants and animals, living in perfect symbiosis with each other. This infinitely rich world is also extremely fragile. The carré La Légende du poisson corail features a coral reef-represented by the ring of an atoll, surrounded by the shimmerings of the water, delineated by impressionistic splashes of colour. At the centre, the fish have adopted camouflaged costumes to escape their predators by merging with the scenery. Bars, streaks, diamond-shapes... mimicry joins forces with fantasy! At the four corners of the carré, stylized flying fish symbolise the harmony between the heavens and the sea.

Size Guide
- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
- Shawls & Other Sizes: there are a few styles that Hermès does not make every season which are just as lovely and fit into this category.
