Why I Love This Pattern: This green variation is the original issue form 1975! In 1975 at the request of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, this scarf accompanied their exhibition on Scythian art. The show later traveled to Paris under the title Scythian Gold in spring 1976. The Scythians, a nomadic people who arrived from Asia centuries before the Common Era, left a lasting mark on the world of jewelry through their refined gold work. Known for their elaborate ornamentation, they adorned themselves, their weapons, and their horses with beautifully engraved pieces. This scarf draws from those same motifs, horse combs, pectorals, amulets, and clasps. And as a long time Meryl Streep and Nancy Meyers fan, seeing the “Les Cavaliers d’Or” pattern in “It’s Complicated” gives me the best seal of approval.
Why I Love This Size
The 90cm silk scarf is the classic size. It’s technically the most versatile in terms of tying many different knots, styling it as a top, a bag, a headscarf and the list goes on.
