From The Hermès Spring-Summer 2010 Seasonal Scarf Booklet: Domes, whether they are sacred or profane, represent aquest for the Absolute. The carré Les Dômes célestes pays homage to the intelligence of those builders and architects who knew how to overcome the greatest technical difficulties to raise their dreams ever higher. It is made up of eighteen cupolas, ceilings of chapels or palaces from all over the world. You can find there, reinterpreted by the designer in kaleidoscopic images, the domes of the Saint-Paul Saint-Louis Church in Paris, the new synagogue of Szeged in Hungary, the great mosques of Cordoba and Constantinople, the church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul in Krakow, or even the audacious triple dome of the sanctuary of Valinotto, near Turin...

Size Guide
- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
