From The Hermès Spring-Summer 2013 Seasonal Scarf Booklet: This carré offers a graphic 'play' on the world of the Games themselves. The composition is based on the interplay of vivid colours and motifs honouring the sporting world's four-yearly Olympic jamboree, cleverly combining two themes dear to the house's heart, in a masterful blend of geometric forms, ribbons, palm fronds, and victory wings. The ensemble forms an understated, clear and clean design, incorporating running tracks, circuits and playing fields, those essential theatres of sport's drive to excel and reach beyond each participant's personal best. The design - like sport itself - is all about the satisfaction of achievement as a result of sustained effort, training and shared endeavour. Appropriately enough there are medals, too, commemorating precious moments of victory; inspired by ancient Greece, two of them depict horses - a feature of the very first Olympic games, around 800 BC - while the third shows Pegasus, the companion of the Muses and the winged mount of Zeus himself, King of Olympus.

- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
