The The Hermès Fall-Winter 1994/95 Seasonal Scarf Booklet: The swallows have come back, the days are getting longer, the countryside is blooming. It's spring! But summer is already here, like a flight of pink flamingos in the skies of the Camargue. Little by little, azure glows with purple and gold: autumn has arrived. The squirrel stores his nuts, the duck flown in from the north alights on the pond. The woodcock slips away into the dusk. Mists float over the meadows. Winter unfolds its cloak of white, and all is at an end -until the cycle begins again.
Size Guide
- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
- Shawls & Other Sizes: there are a few styles that Hermès does not make every season which are just as lovely and fit into this category.
