From The Hermès Fall-Winter 2010/11 Seasonal Scarf Booklet: The juxtaposition is stranse and bold. Rustic straps and baroque suns, simple ribbons hanging up their leather attachments, and portraits of dazzling Phoebus, the Greek god of light. The central orb adorned the carré Gloria Soli, a sun dial which seemed to suggest carpe diem (*seize the day"). Other suns join it, as well as these Sangles (straps) which hold the horses' covers and which lent their designs to another scarf. Just as you sometimes knot two carrés together to create another effect, the two designs have combined to give birth to this new arrival: certain encounters can produce beautiful surprises!

Size Guide
- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
- Shawls & Other Sizes: there are a few styles that Hermès does not make every season which are just as lovely and fit into this category.
