From the Hermès Spring-Summer 2016 Seasonal Scarf Booklet: In this scarf Annie Falvre expresses the power of nature and she vital energy of burgeoning greenery using a delicate hand. Trees - the masters of the forest (maitres de la forét) - entangle with plants in a harmonious and poignant motion towards the light. Branches, leaves and flowers are laid out in a subtle homage to "cashmere" patterns. The word refers to a fibre of incredible softness, but it is also used to describe the characteristic designs created by Indian weavers. From the second half of the 18** century, shawls with these patterns became a distinctive feature of elegant women in Europe, and French manufacturers were quick to start producing them.

Size Guide
- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
- Shawls & Other Sizes: there are a few styles that Hermès does not make every season which are just as lovely and fit into this category.
