From The Hermès Spring-Summer 2020 Seasonal Scarf Booklet: Kermit Oliver's first scarf, created in 1984 at the request of Jean-Louis Dumas, becomes double-sided and invites all kinds of fantasies. Two faces of Pani La Shar Pawnee echo each other: its traditional version on one side, its bandana version on the other. Sumptuously dressed, the great leader holds a sculpted peace pipe featuring a galloping horse. He is surrounded by horses and riders inspired by the sketchbooks of Karl Bodmer, a 19th-century painter, illustrator and photographer.

From The Hermès Spring-Summer 1984 Seasonal Scarf Booklet: An American With his friends, already in the saddle. They head to the new paradise for horses and riders: 11 East 57th St. New York City.
