From The Hermès Fall-Winter 2018/19 Seasonal Scarf Booklet: This scarf is inspired by an illustrated catalogue from the beginning of the 19th century, preserved in the mile Hermes collection. In order to build a reputation with demanding customers across Europe who were curious about their work, saddlers entrusted illustrators with the task of representing their products in a simple and realistic way. Gathered into albums, these plates show the different product lines and materials in their finest light, using watercolours and gouache. In Panoplie équestre, Virginie Jamin interprets the gracious sobriety of these illustrations, arranging bits, leather and steel in an ingenious arabesque design.

Size Guide
- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
- Shawls & Other Sizes: there are a few styles that Hermès does not make every season which are just as lovely and fit into this category.
