From The Hermès Spring-Summer 2010 Seasonal Scarf Booklet: In a wonderful fan-shaped composition, the carré Cliquetis is inspired by a group of drawings in pen and ink, belonging to the collection of mile Hermès, to show a series of military sabres. With hilts magnificently chased and decorated with arabesques and plant, animal or simply geometrical patterns, these sabres were fastened at the belt by clasps and were decorated with long tassels and big, fluffy pompoms. At bottom right, a fringed sabretache (a flat saddlebag originally displayed proudly by hussar regiments) completes the composition, surrounded by a chain of snaffle bits.

Size Guide
- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
- Shawls & Other Sizes: there are a few styles that Hermès does not make every season which are just as lovely and fit into this category.
