From the Hermès Spring-Summer 2018 Seasonal Scarf Booklet: A happy encounter between two legendary Hermès designs that meet on a scarf and share the space equally. On one side L'Instruction du roy: through an interlacing of bits and reins, curves and scrolls, Henri d'Origny recounts the teaching of Antoine de Pluvinel, equerry to King Louis XIII. Mindful of the horse's wellbeing, he extolled the virtues of gentleness and understanding in his work L'Instruction du roy en l'exercice de monter à cheval. With Casques et plumets, the other design in this composition. Julie Abadie pays homage to the French cavalry and reproduces nineteenth-century plumed helmets.

Size Guide
- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
- Shawls & Other Sizes: there are a few styles that Hermès does not make every season which are just as lovely and fit into this category.
