From The Hermès Fall-Winter 2006 Scarf Booklet: At Hermes, every scarf tells a story, a fable which the eye listens to. Navigators, explorers, musicians, scientists, sportsmen, linguists... as many adventures as are reflected here in the deliberate multiplicity of compositions and colours. The variety of this Autumn-Winter 2006 collection pays homage to the bold spirits who opened up new paths in all the domains of human invention and who made their name in the art of transforming existence into destiny. Such a man was Samuel de Champlain, who once explored Canada; each was a pioneer to whom we owe the attraction of new lands.

Size Guide
- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
- Shawls & Other Sizes: there are a few styles that Hermès does not make every season which are just as lovely and fit into this category.
